Our Leadership

John Leonard has been involved in the real estate management business since 1983 and has extensive experience acquiring, renovating, and managing apartment communities and commercial properties throughout Southern New Jersey. He started The Streamwood Company, located in historic Haddonfield, NJ, in 1996. Over the years Jack has bought and repositioned older commercial properties, while obtaining tax credits from the “NJ Dept. of the Interior” as well as awards from the preservation society of Haddonfield. Locating an underperforming property and repositioning it is his forte. Jack Leonard is responsible for asset acquisition and construction management in the firm.

In 2011, John’s son, Scott, joined The Streamwood Company as the Regional Manager after starting his career in the property management industry in the competitive Washington, D.C market. Scott obtained his degree in Property Management with a minor in Real Estate from Virginia Tech and holds the CPM designation through IREM. Scott currently oversees the day to day Property Management operations of the company’s portfolio as the Regional Manager as well as assisting in property acquisitions and asset management.

An Accredited Management Organization, The Streamwood Company prides itself on responsiveness and expertise that have resulted in impressively high occupancy and tenant retention records, which have then translated into excellent revenues and relatively low maintenance costs. The key to The Streamwood Company’s success lies in our respect for the unique needs of individual buildings, grounds, and tenants. Our program of preventive maintenance includes strict attention to landscaping and facade improvements, as well as mechanical system updates.

The ability to maintain control of costs and quality in the renovation and construction of commercial properties has enabled The Streamwood Company to deliver continued profitability and high returns on investments. Astute evaluation of property potential and a willingness to explore avenues such as historic rehabilitation tax credits have won acclaim for the company.

Past, Present, Future

In historic Haddonfield, a premier South Jersey community, we have successfully worked within stringent renovation requirements. We maximized leasing value by converting first floor office space to retail storefronts while maintaining every building’s historic integrity and architectural beauty. For these efforts, The Streamwood Company has received commendations from the Historic Preservation Society as well as the Department of the Interior for the restoration of Gibbs Tavern in 1983.
